For those who wish to support Oncology that doesn't include the Oncology Education Fund or The Brenner Fund to Support Oncology Patients, the general Cancer Care Fund is dedicated to providing exceptional patient care.
Established in memory of Larry Breivogel, the Brenner Fund to Support Oncology Patients supports the immediate physical and emotional needs of cancer patients. No cancer patient should have to worry about how they’re going to pay for their medicine or make it to their appointments, and the Brenner Fund to Support Oncology Patients ensures that they won’t have to. Vital needs from the purchase of a walker to medication assistance will be covered under this fund.
By donating, you not only help improve patient outcomes, but also help families reduce stress knowing expenses are covered and their loved one is getting all the care they need.

The
Oncology Education Fund is used to fund continuous medical education of the Cancer Center Oncologists with the goal of deepening their expertise in specific disease sites. This will play a critical role in subspecializing our oncologists to become experts in specific cancer diagnoses such as pancreatic cancer, ovarian cancer, colon cancer, melanoma, etc.. This will also help fund oncology conferences at Deaconess, bringing in experts to lecture on the advances in specific cancer diagnoses.
