25% of Employees Have Mental Health or Substance Abuse Issues at Any Given Time

Deaconess Employee Assistance Program (EAP) offers assessment, short term counseling, referral (if necessary) and follow-up services to employees and members of their household who want help dealing with mental health concerns, substance use/abuse issues, life changes, family issues or personal problems.

EAP SERVICES
  • Short-term counseling for mental health or substance abuse issues for employees and/or their family members
    • Referrals can be voluntary or may be mandated by a supervisor
    • Expedited access based on urgency of need
  • Critical incident stress debriefing for crisis situations
  • Supervisor training available three times a year
    • Signs of drug/alcohol use
    • Effective management tools
    • Stress management
  • Workplace options (available at additional cost)
    • Finances
    • Child and elder care
    • Legal services
    • Work-life balance
  • Services available at three convenient locations:
    • Evansville, Henderson and Owensboro
  • Coming in mid-2018: option of video visits to help employees with more convenient access to care (available in Indiana)
