Do You Have Hereditary Angioedema?

HAEHereditary angioedema (HAE) is a rare genetic disorder caused by a deficiency of a blood protein called C1-INH.  Symptoms of HAE may include swelling of the hands, face, feet, abdomen and throat. Attacks of HAE typically have a rapid onset, and symptoms may subside gradually over 3 to 5 days.

Deaconess Clinic Department of Allergy and Immunology is participating in a clinical research study of an investigational medication for the treatment of HAE attacks. Qualified participants receive study-related medical care at no cost.
