Do You Have Peripheral Artery Disease?
Peripheral artery disease is a common circulatory condition in which narrowed arteries reduce blood flow to the limbs - most often the legs and feet. This restricted blood flow can cause muscle pain or cramping. Risk factors for peripheral artery disease include smoking, diabetes, high cholesterol, high blood pressure and a sedentary lifestyle.
Deaconess Heart Group physicians are currently participating in a clinical research study of an investigational medication to see if it can help participants with peripheral artery disease increase their walking distance.
If you suffer from peripheral artery disease, we invite you to consider participation in this clinical research study. Qualified study participants will receive study-related exams and study medication at no cost during the course of the study, as will as compensation for time and travel. Health insurance is not required for participation.
