Do You Have Asthma?

Asthma causes swelling and inflammation in the airways that lead to your lungs. When asthma flares up, the airways tighten and become narrower. This keeps the air from passing through easily and makes it hard for you to breathe. The swelling and inflammation in your airways can lead to permanent changes in your airways and harm your lungs. Symptoms of asthma can be mild or severe and may include wheezing, coughing and chest tightness.
If you suffer from asthma, you may qualify to participate in a clinical research study of an investigational inhaler medication being conducted by the Allergy Department at Deaconess Clinic. Participation includes all study-related exams and investigational study medication at no cost, and you may receive compensation for time and travel. Qualified participants must be age 4 or older.
If you are interested in learning more about this study, please call the Deaconess Research Info-Line at 812-474-7184 or toll free 877-654-0311.
