Deaconess Family Medicine Residency - Wallace M. Adye Center
Services
Resident physicians spend three years at Deaconess practicing family medicine in the Wallace M. Adye Center. With faculty supervision, they provide the following services:
- Primary medical care for children, adults and the elderly
- Primary medical care for pregnant women and their newborn babies
- Immunizations for infants, children and adults
- Evaluation and treatment of some skin conditions
- Daily urgent care clinic
The resident physicians and other staff members also work together to provide:
- Behavioral health counseling for adults
- Help with finding and using community services
- Medication assistance program
- Care for occupational and sports injuries, including minor surgeries and stitches
- Support group for moms
- Support group for victims of domestic violence

About the Wallace M. Adye Center
The residency clinic facility was named in honor of Dr. Wallace M. Adye, former Family Medicine Residency Director, for his contributions to the advancement of medical education at Deaconess Hospital. Dr. Adye was named Director Emeritus in 2004 and provided leadership to the residency from 1978-1995.
