Minimally Invasive Surgery
Use of small incisions, tubes, cameras, surgical instruments and other techniques to minimize pain, reduce risk of infection and facilitate faster recovery. Laparoscopic and robotic are specific kinds of minimally invasive surgery.
Deaconess uses two surgical robots, the da Vinci Xi and the ROSA Knee System. The da Vinci system is most commonly used in urology and gynecology procedures while the ROSA Knee System supports surgeons in performing personalized total knee arthroplasty (TKA).

Trauma Surgery
The treatment of seriously injured patients with complex conditions by surgeons with advanced, specialized training and experience. Common situations include motor vehicle accidents, sports injuries, brain and spinal cord injuries, solid organ injuries, closed head injuries and hemorrhage.
