About MRI: A magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) uses a strong magnetic field and radio waves to create detailed images of the organs and tissues within the body.  These images help doctors diagnose a variety of problems.

MRI Guidelines

• MRI scans require a physician order
• To schedule an MRI of the heart or breast call 812-450-5250 opt 1
• If your doctor ordered your MRI with anesthesia, please call 812-450-5250 opt 1 to schedule.
• Your doctor may place this order electronically, or will provide a paper order from that you should bring with you to your appointment
• A scheduling representative will be in contact with you to discuss any special instructions prior to the date of your exam
