Every Monday 7 - 8 AM, all residents meet to discuss inpatient medicine cases and topics. At the end of the session, residents on inpatient medicine rotations are given feedback by faculty on their sign out process to ensure safe and effective transitions of care.
Grand Rounds
Every Tuesday 12 - 1 PM, all residents attend lectures either in-person or online given by medical field experts both within Deaconess, and outside the health system.
Didactics
Every Tuesday 1 - 5 PM, all residents meet for built-in learning opportunities such as:
Case-based learning through an 18 month rotating curriculum that covers a breadth of family medicine topics
Procedural skills workshops including point of care ultrasound training
Population health panel management sessions for quality improvement training
Built-in time for teambuilding and wellness exercises, and Balint group
