    Deaconess Welcomes Dr. Vinayak Nadar to Comprehensive Pain Center in Owensboro

    Deaconess is pleased to welcome Vinayak Nadar, MD, a board-certified anesthesiologist and pain medicine physician, to Deaconess Comprehensive Pain Center – Owensboro. Dr. Nadar specializes in the evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of chronic pain and a wide range of painful conditions. 

    Dr. Nadar provides interventional pain medicine solutions with an emphasis on personalized, high-quality care. His addition expands access to specialized pain management services for patients throughout Owensboro, Henderson, Union County and surrounding communities. 

    Dr. Nadar earned his medical degree from the American University of Antigua, graduating as valedictorian of his class. He completed his residency in anesthesiology at the University of Minnesota, followed by a fellowship in interventional pain medicine at the University of Minnesota Hospital. He is board certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology in both anesthesiology and pain medicine. 

    Dr. Nadar evaluates and treats a variety of chronic pain conditions, including: 

    • Back and sacroiliac joint pain
    • Radiculopathies and neuropathies
    • Chronic head and neck pain
    • Chest wall and thoracic pain
    • Chronic abdominal and pelvic pain
    • Spinal stenosis

    Treatment options offered by Dr. Nadar include facet and sacroiliac joint injections and denervation, epidural and transforaminal epidural steroid injections, peripheral nerve blocks and stimulators, plane blocks, and small and large joint injections and denervation. 

    Dr. Nadar also offers advanced interventional pain management treatments, including intrathecal drug delivery, spinal cord stimulation, kyphoplasty and basivertebral nerve ablation.
