Deaconess Henderson Breast Cancer Hosting Breast Cancer Awareness Celebration
Screening mammograms will take place inside the Deaconess Henderson Breast Center, while all celebration activities—including giveaways, educational resources and community engagement—will be held in the main lobby and parking lot of Deaconess Henderson Hospital.
The goal of this event is to raise awareness about the importance of early detection and to celebrate the strength of those impacted by breast cancer.
Event highlights include:
- Screening mammograms available by appointment with limited walk-ins at Deaconess Henderson Breast Center
- Clear tote bags for the first 25 guests screened courtesy of the Kentucky Cancer Program
- Educational booths and promotional materials in the hospital lobby
- Photo opportunity with the iconic Horses and Hope Pink Mustang in the parking lot
“This event is a meaningful opportunity to come together as a community to support breast cancer awareness and the importance of early detection,” said Dr. Amber Koon, chief of surgery, at Deaconess Henderson Hospital. “By offering education, screenings and support, we hope to empower individuals to take charge of their health and honor the strength of those impacted by breast cancer.”
A limited number of walk-in mammogram appointments will be available, and all guests who wish to receive a screening that day will be accommodated. To schedule your mammogram, please call 270-827-7156.
