Deaconess and Orthopaedic Associates Celebrate Grand Opening of New Surgery Center
New facility expands access to orthopedic, sports medicine and specialty musculoskeletal care
NEWBURGH, Ind. – Deaconess Orthopedic Surgery Center Powered by Orthopaedic Associates yesterday celebrated the grand opening of its new facility, expanding access to comprehensive orthopedic care for patients across the Tri-State region. The new building is designed to enhance the patient experience through convenient access to specialists, advanced treatment options and coordinated care, all in one location.
The surgery center, located at 4231 Gateway Blvd in Newburgh on the Deaconess Gateway Hospital campus, is designed specifically for outpatient orthopedic procedures, offering patients a streamlined experience from pre-operative preparation through recovery. Equipped with advanced surgical technology and dedicated operating rooms, the center allows surgeons and care teams to deliver high-quality care in a setting focused exclusively on orthopedic and musculoskeletal procedures.
“This new facility reflects our commitment to providing exceptional orthopedic care for our communities both today and in the future,” said Dr. Brad Scheu, Deaconess Indiana Region President. “Designed with both patients and providers in mind, the facility offers modern exam and treatment spaces, improved accessibility and state-of-the-art technology. This grand opening represents our investment in the health and mobility of our patients, allowing us to deliver advanced care in an environment designed around their needs.”
The facility is expected to support a wide range of orthopedic procedures, including joint replacement, sports medicine, spine, hand, foot and ankle, and other musculoskeletal surgeries, bringing comprehensive orthopedic care together under one roof.
“Our goal is to make it easier for patients to access the orthopedic services they need while providing a welcoming and efficient experience from start to finish,” said Dr. Anthony Czaplicki, Orthopedic Surgeon with Orthopaedic Associates. “Whether someone is recovering from an injury, managing chronic joint pain or seeking specialized sports medicine care, this facility helps us serve them more effectively.”
The grand opening celebration included a ribbon cutting ceremony and open house for community members, leaders and healthcare partners to tour the facility and learn more about the services available. The new Deaconess Orthopedic Surgery Center Powered by Orthopaedic Associates will welcome patients beginning Tuesday, November 17.
