2025 LCM Award Recipient - Breanne Terwiske

Breanne Terwiske was named the 2025 recipient of the Little Company of Mary Award at Deaconess Memorial Medical Center.

Breanne Terwiske was named the 2025 recipient of the Little Company of Mary Award at Deaconess Memorial Medical Center. The LCM Award is given annually to an employee nominated by his or her co-workers and chosen from a group of finalists by the hospital’s Mission Committee. Nominees for this award demonstrate Deaconess Memorial’s mission and core values through their daily work.

Breanne works in The Mary Potter Medication Resource Center as a medication assistance coordinator. She started working at Deaconess Memorial in 2012 in the inpatient pharmacy and earned her national certification as a pharmacy technician in 2018. Terwiske was instrumental in establishing The Mary Potter Medication Resource Center in 2018 and works to continue its growth as a medication assistance resource for the local communities.

Upon receiving the award, Terwiske commented, “I am truly honored to receive the 2025 Little Company of Mary Award. This award is not merely a reflection or recognition of what has already been done. It serves as a reminder of the work and mission we carry on at Deaconess Memorial Medical Center: to serve with compassion, to lead with heart, and to care for every individual as exactly that — a person, not a number or an ID. Each patient deserves our time, our patience, and our utmost respect. To be recognized with an award that so deeply values our mission and carries such an important legacy means more to me than I can express. This award could have gone to any of the nominees. We are all part of this same mission. We value our patients like our family. I am truly grateful today, tomorrow, and the days ahead.” Terwiske attributes her success to her hard-working parents, and that without their presence and guidance, she would not be who she is today.
