    About Deaconess Memorial Medical Center

    For over 70 years, caregivers at Deaconess Memorial Medical Center have worked to provide the local area with excellent health care services. Based in Jasper, Indiana, Deaconess Memorial has grown to include more than 30 specialties with approximately 250 physicians and advanced practice providers in 33 health care offices in seven counties. Deaconess Memorial employs more than 1,600 caregivers and provides medical care for more than 6,000 inpatients, 250,000 outpatients, and 26,000 emergency department visits annually. Approximately 700 babies are born at Deaconess Memorial each year.

    Deaconess Memorial offers a comprehensive range of medical services in a 114-bed facility. The hospital, located on 15 acres between 9th Street and 13th Street in Jasper, has nearly 500,000 square feet under roof including a five-story medical facility, the seven-level Little Company of Mary Tower, a medical arts building, and several other office buildings.

    While living out our mission and core values, the caregivers at Deaconess Memorial have earned national recognition for excellence in quality of care. Deaconess Memorial attained Magnet recognition in 2020 and 2024, a testament to its continued dedication to high-quality nursing practice. The American Nurses Credentialing Center’s (ANCC) Magnet Recognition Program® distinguishes health care organizations that meet rigorous standards for nursing excellence. This credential is the highest national honor for professional nursing practice.
