Good
Love the care I get
I was advised of results of lab work. Everything was good, so no changes and we set up next routine labs, etc.
Dismissive of questions about recent abnormal labs. Repeat labs were normal. She said values normal now, you don't have a problem. Did not order repeat testing for labs that were abnormal. Seemed to be in a hurry. And almost angry that I asked a question. Considering trying to find a different Endocrine specialist.
Highly recommend
Good conversation, explained changes for my changes in therapy.
I had switched doctors and I am very happy with my new doctor.
That woman had a set script that she followed, she had no concern at all about my unique situation, and offered no measure of interest in my healthcare. I was Instructed to bring up a particular endocrinological issue, brought forward from my primary care physician, and both the tech, and that NP, did not care! I am going back to my doctor and discuss my options. I am very disappointed in that woman's measure of care. She has no idea or interest in people that live active lives outdoors where her pat answers and treatment schedule are superfluous. If I followed her revised drug schedule, I can guarantee that my blood sugar will bottom out in the middle of the night, and if I am luck, I might make it to the emergency room. My brother died from insulin prescribed in the manner she advised. If, and this is a big if,,,I stay with Deaconess endocrinology, I will go back to the doctor and then see a different NP,, anybody but that woman!!

Very Good
I felt valued and heard by the doctor!
Always ver nice here.
Dr. Santacanta is great
Good
Excellent experience.
The doctor is very considerate and seems to care about my well-being. She is very polite and explained things in detail. She took a lot of time to explain even some extra stuff about my other lab work and eating habits.
I have in the past.
Care provider seemed to not know anything about my health status, it actually seemed as though she had the wrong patient. She did not realize I was only 3 weeks postpartum and this was my first visit to get my diabetes management back to pre pregnancy status. The nursing assistant did know and comment that I was 3 weeks postpartum and seemed to know more about my health status than the provider.
Encouraged me to watch meals, exercise for weight lose.
Very professional
