About David Moore, MD
Dr. David Moore is a board-certified urologist serving patients throughout the Tri-State region — including Evansville, Indiana, Henderson, Kentucky, and surrounding communities — as part of the urology practice at Deaconess Health System. He provides comprehensive urologic care for both men and women, with specialized expertise in advanced surgical procedures including penile implant surgery, robotic-assisted surgery, and the management of complex urologic conditions. Dr. Moore completed his medical training at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, including a surgical internship and urology residency — one of the most competitive training programs in the country.
Among Dr. Moore's areas of clinical focus is penile implant surgery, a highly specialized procedure that restores sexual function for men with erectile dysfunction who have not responded to other treatments. Penile prosthesis implantation requires both precise surgical technique and a thoughtful, individualized approach to patient selection and counseling. Dr. Moore is a high volume penile implant surgeon, one of the few in the Evansville area and broader Tri-State region, offering patients access to this advanced surgical option close to home — without the need to travel to a major metropolitan center. He also performs robotic-assisted urologic surgery, utilizing minimally invasive techniques that offer patients shorter recovery times, reduced postoperative pain, and excellent surgical outcomes.
Dr. Moore pursued a career in urology out of a deep interest in surgical problem-solving and the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in patients' quality of life. Urologic conditions — from prostate cancer to erectile dysfunction to urinary disorders — often carry significant physical and emotional weight. He believes that patients deserve a physician who listens carefully, explains options clearly, and recommends treatment based on individual goals rather than a one-size-fits-all approach.
Dr. Moore makes it a point to explain conditions and treatment options in plain language — not medical jargon — so patients can make truly informed decisions. He presents the full range of options, including non-surgical approaches, and respects that the right choice depends on what matters most to each individual patient. Whether someone is navigating a new prostate cancer diagnosis, considering a penile implant, or managing a chronic urologic condition, he wants them to feel like an active participant in their care — not a passive recipient of it. His goal is for every patient to leave an appointment feeling heard, informed, and confident in their path forward.
For patients seeking a urologist in Evansville, Indiana or the surrounding region — whether for a routine urologic concern, a second opinion, or a highly specialized procedure such as penile implant surgery or robotic urologic surgery — Dr. Moore and his team at Deaconess Health System welcome new patients and referrals. All good
Good
Dr Moore listened very well and was articulate with his answers.
During the examination the doctor said nothing about a growth I have on my _______. I forgot to mention it.
Very thorough
Not sure just met him
Dr. Moore covered all my questions.
Good
Dr. Moore was very knowledgeable about my health concerns, and made me feel comfortable about my diagnosis. He is highly intelligent and I trust him.
Dr. Moore is easy to talk to and does a solid job of providing information or answers to questions I have.
Above and beyond my expectations
The "Propofol" that the anesthesiologist was administring was so much better than standard anesthesia. I woke up very clear headed and ready to go. No grogginess, at all.
Very detailed course of action.
He discussed postop pathology report, plan for follow up, treatment options now, and if symptoms change.
I was nervous about the appointment, but it went great! Dr. Moore was very nice and explained things thoroughly to me in a non condescending way.
Think dr Moore is great and staff
I have had a history of kidney stone problems. One 5 years ago and one within the last 3 weeks. I also mentioned to him I had pain flare ups twice in the last 6 months.Did not seem too concerned with my kidney stone issues. Said it may have not been kidney stones, and that it could've just been pain. I ended up in the ER over this and my scan showed stones in both kidneys. Dr Moore said he'd see me in a year. I feel as having kidney stones present I was not given proper treatment options. I then asked the receptionist to ask the nurse as I was leaving if it would be possible for me to get some sort of medication to elevate pain if I had another flare up to avoid another ER visit. The nurse told her that they cannot prescribe any pain medication without seeing the stone first. As one knows, kidney stones are very painful when passing. The nurse and receptionist I had were very nice as well. I was just hoping for better answers rather than being sent home with nothing.
Very good
Talked very little dr.in the room less than 5 minutes
