Advanced Practice Provider - Neonatal Intensive Care Unit

The Neonatal Advanced Practitioner manages individualized, goal-directed patient care through the use of the processes and the principles of primary patient in accordance with departmental and hospital policies and procedures. This position works in collaboration with Neonatologist obtaining patient history and conducts physical exams, performs critical procedures, identifies and addresses patient and family teaching needs, provides diagnosis education, develops plan of care by collaborating with the physician and other team members, makes appropriate referrals, performs exams, serves as a resource for staff and the hospital.

The Neonatal Advanced Practitioner must be either a graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a Master of Science in Nursing Degree-CNM, NP or CN; or a certification from the National Commission on Certification of PA Master of Advanced Practice Provider studies. This position must maintain a current Indiana license or is eligible; maintain the Advanced Practice Provider certification; maintain current BLS and NRP certification. Two years’ experience in the practice area is preferred. The RN will adhere to the American Nurses Association Bill of Rights by establishing and maintaining workplace expectations and environments which support sound professional nursing practice.

Neonatologist Physician

The Neonatologist is responsible for the management of complex illnesses or problems requiring a high level of experience and competence in intensive care of newborns, including ventilation care and advanced life support. This position’s responsibilities, includes but is not limited to, newborn medical care and consultation, newborns presenting to Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), consultations for newborns in any area of the Hospital or Deaconess Health System as needed and in addition to serving as an on-call resource for consultation for nursing personnel, local physicians, or physicians from referring hospitals and administration.
 
The NICU Physician must be a graduate of an accredited school of medicine with completion of an approved Residency; maintain a medical license in the State of Indiana; be a credentialed member of Deaconess Medical Staff; Board certified in Pediatrics and Neonatology; and maintain BLS, NRP certification.

Advanced Practice Provider - Gynecologic Oncology

The Advanced Practice Provider in Gynecologic Oncology manages individualized, goal-directed patient care through the use of the processes and the principles of primary patient care in accordance with departmental and hospital policies and procedures. The Advanced Practice Provider obtains patient history and conducts physical exams; identifies and addresses patient and family teaching needs; performs first assist duties in surgery; knowledgeable of gynecologic oncology conditions and treatments; performs PAP smear, pelvic and breast exams; develops the plan of care by collaborating with the physician and other team members; knowledge of cancer chemotherapy agents, makes appropriate referrals; assists call and hospital rounds, admissions, progress notes and discharges; and serves as a resource for staff and the hospital.
 
The Advanced Practice Provider must be either a graduate of an accredited Advanced Practice Provider program with certification from the National Commission on Certification of PA Master of Advanced Practice Provider Studies maintain a current Indiana PA license or is eligible; or must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a Master of Science in Nursing Degree-CNM, NP or CNS; maintain a current Indiana RN license or is eligible; maintain the Advanced Practice Nurse certification; maintain current BLS certification. Two years’ experience in the practice area is preferred.  _____________________________________________________________________________________________________Gynecologic Oncologist Physician 

The Gynecologic Oncologist Physician is responsible for the oversight and quality of medical care provided by the gynecologic oncology team.  The physician provides care to oncology and complex patients by managing individualized, goal-directed patient care in accordance with the medical staff rules and regulations; develops/maintains relationships with specialty physicians to ensure a multidisciplinary approach to quality patient care; is an active member of various hospital committees; and provides educational opportunities as requested.
 
The Gynecologic Oncologist Physician must be a graduate of an accredited school of medicine with completion of OB/GYN Residency; maintain a medical license in the State of Indiana; be a credentialed member of Deaconess Medical Staff; and Board certified (or eligible) in OB/GYN and Gynecologic Oncologist.  Two years’ experience in the practice area is preferred.

OB/ED Physician

The OB/GYN Emergency Department physician provides quality medical care to patients presenting to the OB-ED and responds to OB/GYN emergencies at The Women’s Hospital. The physician is an active member of the multidisciplinary care team providing leadership and guidance for emergency obstetrical care.

The OB/ED Physician must be a graduate of an accredited school of medicine with completion of OB/GYN Residency; maintain a medical license in the State of Indiana; be a credentialed member of Deaconess Medical Staff; Board certified in OB/GYN; and maintain BLS, ACLS certification.

Reproductive Endocrinologist/Infertility Physician

The Reproductive Endocrinologist/Infertility Physician (REI) is responsible for the oversight and quality of individualized, goal-directed medical care plans provided for patients with reproductive medical/surgical problems.  Physician services are provided in accordance with the medical staff rules and regulations and physician will develop/maintain relationships with other specialty physicians to ensure a multidisciplinary approach to quality patient care.  Physician is an active member of various hospital committees; and provides educational opportunities as requested.
 
The REI Physician must have a medical degree from an accredited program; maintain a medical license in the state of IN, and other states where BIVF at TWH chooses to conduct business; successfully completed both a residency in OB/GYN and a fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology recognized by the American Board of OB/GYN; board eligible or certified in Reproductive Endocrinology by the American Board of OB/GYN; and be a credentialed member of Deaconess Medical Staff. Two years’ experience in the practice area is preferred.

Urogynecologist Physician 

The Urogynecologist is responsible for oversight and quality medical care provided by the Pelvic Health & Wellness Team. The physician provides care to females with conditions including but not limited to pelvic organ prolapse, urinary incontinence, overactive bladder and pelvic pain; develops/maintains relationships with specialty physicians to ensure a multidisciplinary approach to quality patient care; is an active member of various hospital committees; and provides educational opportunities as requested.
 
The Urogynecologist Physician must be a graduate of an accredited school of medicine with completion of OB/GYN residency; maintain a medical license in the State of Indiana; be a credentialed member of Deaconess Medical Staff; and Board Certified (or eligible) in OB/GYN and Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery. Two years’ experience in the practice area is preferred.
