Innovation. Expertise. Compassion.
Many women have healthy pregnancies that progress without problems and result in the delivery of a healthy baby. Some women have a high-risk pregnancy that increases their chance for complications. Expert medical care allows most of these women to remain healthy throughout their pregnancies and deliver healthy babies.
During your pregnancy, your obstetrician or family doctor may refer you to a perinatologist. A perinatologist is also called a maternal-fetal medicine doctor and has special training to care for health conditions or pregnancy-related complications. If you are referred to this higher level of care, rest assured that Tri-State Perinatology at The Women’s Hospital will provide compassionate, highly-skilled, individualized care for you and your baby. Our physicians and team work with your OB doctor to provide care and minimize risks associated with high-risk pregnancy.
