Vedant Borad, MD
Dr. Borad is accepting new patients at Deaconess Clinic Medical Office Building 1 on the Deaconess Gateway medical campus. Dr. Borad is a plastic surgeon who specializes in reconstructive surgery, including head and neck reconstruction after trauma and cancer, breast reconstruction, and complex wound closure utilizing microvascular free tissue transfer.
He earned his medical degree from Albany Medical College in Albany, New York, where he gained acceptance into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. He then went on to complete his integrated plastic surgery post-graduate training at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, Minnesota, during which time he published on facial trauma and craniofacial surgery in peer-reviewed journals.
Katherine Kottwitz, MD
Dr. Kottwitz is a plastic surgeon with a special interest in cosmetic surgery and breast reconstruction.
She attended Saint Mary's College in South Bend, Indiana, and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Music. Even though she had a passion for music, she always knew she wanted to be a physician and decided to attend medical school. She earned her medical degree in 2014 from Southern Illinois University School of Medicine.
Dr. Kottwitz stayed at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine to complete a 6 year Integrated Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery residency. Given her interest in cosmetic and aesthetic breast surgery, she completed a one year fellowship in an Aesthetic Society endorsed Aesthetic Fellowship at CaloAesthetics in Louisville, Kentucky with Dr. M Bradley Calobrace and Dr. Chet Mays.
