Colonoscopy
A procedure where the physician inserts a flexible tube and camera into the rectum for the purpose of inspecting the colon. A colonoscopy can be done for many reasons; screening for colon cancer is the most common purpose.

Esophagogastroduodenoscopy (EGD)
The physician will use a thin tube with a light and camera on it to examine the esophagus, stomach and first part of the small bowel. This procedure is performed to help diagnose esophageal cancer, Barrett’s esophagus, and ulcer-related disease.
