Do You Have Type 2 Diabetes?

image of glucose meterType 2 diabetes is an increasingly common disorder in which the body has trouble controlling blood sugar and using it for energy. The less controlled your blood sugar is, the higher the risk of complications such as kidney damage, heart disease, nerve damage and eye damage.

If you are age 18 or older and take metformin daily for your diabetes, you may qualify to participate in a local clinical research study underway at Deaconess Clinic.  Eligible participants will receive study-related exams and investigational study medication at no cost. Compensation for time and travel may be available.
