Every child deserves world-class pediatric health care. Through our partnership with Riley Hospital for Children IU Health, we make it possible for families in the tri-state to get that level of care without the long drive to Indianapolis.
To help our families stay close to home, specialty physicians from Riley Hospital for Children travel to Deaconess (according to a set schedule) to see and treat kids with specific conditions. These physicians can also admit the kids into the Gateway Hospital Pediatric Unit or Pediatric Intensive Care Unit should an inpatient stay be necessary.
We offer 14 specialty services and clinics in the Deaconess Riley Children’s Specialty Center located on our Gateway Campus. In just six months, we provided more than 4,000 patient visits for kids with serious and complex medical issues. That saves families time and money - an estimated 350 mile trip from Evansville to the Riley Hospital in Indianapolis and back and about $200 in gas money for each office visit.*
Together with Deaconess physicians and staff, the specialty doctors from Riley make the health of our kids a priority.
