'EMT Career Pathway' Offered by Deaconess

A new program offered by Deaconess allows employees to receive pay while working at Deaconess and attending emergency medical technician (EMT) classes.
 
Those seeking a career path in emergency medical services are able to work at Deaconess full time while attending EMT classes at no cost. 
 
TRI-STATE – A new program offered by Deaconess allows employees to receive pay while working at Deaconess and attending emergency medical technician (EMT) classes.

The program is designed to help career seekers to find an easy pathway into the EMS profession. Candidates will work in areas such as food and nutrition services, laundry, or environmental services while attending EMT classes that will lead to career advancement as an EMT.

Upon successful completion of the EMT classes and achieving the required licensure, an employee will begin working as an EMT at Deaconess Illinois EMS or Deaconess EMS in Kentucky (Henderson or Union County) operation bases.   

Candidates must have a high school diploma, and a clean driving record.
