Organization Description: The Stout Street Foundation, founded 40 years ago in the Denver area, has one goal. To offer a better way to a more meaningful life to alcoholics and addicts. We are a 2-3 year, 501(c) 3 nonprofit, residential recovery center for people with substance abuse disorders. We help around 120 residents at any given time transition into becoming constructive, valuable, productive, and grateful citizens of society once again. Some of our residents walk in from the streets with nothing but the clothes on their backs. We understand that the faces of addiction and the trend in drugs of choice will continue to change over time; however, the need for the services and support that we offer will be unending. The programs we offer have changed the lives of thousands of Addicts and Alcoholics into productive working citizens.
