The Deaconess Hospital, Inc. Clinical Pastoral Education Program does not discriminate against persons because of race, ethnicity, religious/spiritual tradition, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, age, and/or disability.
The CPE Program at Deaconess Hospital uses a rolling admission process. When a prospective student submits an ACPE application for a specific unit or program, the educator acknowledges the receipt of the application by telephone or email promptly, reviews the application materials, and schedules an admission interview. When the application process is complete, the student will be notified of his/her acceptance or non-acceptance within two weeks.
For the Residency , there is a more comprehensive interview process because of the involvement of an admissions committee. Therefore, a decision may not be possible within the two week time frame. In this case, the candidate will be informed when a decision can be expected at the time of his/her personal interview. Every effort will be made to inform the candidate of the admission committee’s decision in a timely manner.
"An applicant's suitability for admission to any ACPE program is a matter of professional judgment by the ACPE accredited center in accordance with its admission policies."
