In keeping with our organization’s mission, Deaconess nurses are at the forefront of providing quality patient care with a compassionate and caring spirit.
Your ongoing commitment to safe, patient-centered care has been nationally recognized since 2013, when Deaconess Midtown Hospital, Deaconess Gateway Hospital and Deaconess Cross Point first received Magnet designation from the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
Since then, we’ve continued to earn re-designation due to extensive contributions and efforts from nurses throughout the organization. Our Nursing Shared Governance Councils advance the profession of nursing and enhance patient care through collaboration and exchange of knowledge and ideas. As we continue to integrate our newest inpatient facilities—Deaconess Henderson, Union County and Gibson Hospitals—this collaboration and mutual sharing of best practices gains an even stronger focus.
Ongoing professional development, education, and growth is encouraged, through Deaconess tuition reimbursement and Step Up programs, as well as Foundation funding for access to conferences benefitting nurses’ interest and specialties.
