In an effort to improve coordination of care and create programs that will result in achieving the “Three Part Aim” of providing improved care for the Medicare Fee-For-Service beneficiaries we serve, better health for the populations we care for, and doing so in a financially sustainable manner, Deaconess Hospital, Neurosurgical Consultants, LLP, and its participating neurosurgeons, in collaboration with DCI, formed the joint venture Mainspring Managers, LLC in April 2014.
Under this arrangement, Mainspring Managers, LLC, working in coordination with Neurosurgical Consultants, LLP and its participating neurosurgeons, provides management and related administrative services to Deaconess Hospital in connection with various neurosurgery procedures performed at its Midtown campus and Gateway campus in an effort to improve care for neurosurgery patients. For example, programs have been developed to promote and create collective accountability for:
- Achieving Quality measure objectives
- Improving patient satisfaction
- Decreasing healthcare expenditures
The Mainspring Managers joint venture allows Deaconess Hospital, Neurosurgical Consultants, LLP and its participating neurosurgeons to work in collaboration with DCI to create collective accountability and to facilitate the parties in achieving the goals and objectives of DCI, including the goals of the MSSP ACO Model.
