At the heart of every healing moment at Deaconess is a nurse — calm in crisis, compassionate at the bedside, and tireless in their commitment to patients and families. Through the generosity of our donors, Deaconess Foundation continues to invest in the next generation of these healthcare heroes by providing nursing scholarships that directly impact our community’s future.
This year, Deaconess Foundation awarded $92,000 in scholarships to 16 aspiring nurses, supporting them as they pursue their education and prepare to serve where they are needed most. Last year, thanks to your support, 15 students received $90,000 in scholarships, all of whom are now proudly serving within Deaconess Health System. A $5,000 donation, combined with additional support from the Foundation, can fully fund a scholarship in your name. This not only helps ease the financial burden for a student but also affirms your commitment to sustaining compassionate, high-quality care in our region.
