Philosophy
I joined Deaconess in 2018 after completing my training in Internal Medicine/Pediatrics and Palliative Care. I enjoy caring for patients of all ages from young children to the elderly as well as teenagers and young adults as they transition from the pediatrics world to adult healthcare providers. I appreciate getting to know my patients over time. I try to get insight into their daily lives by learning about their families, work, hobbies, or interests, as I feel this helps me provide better individualized care. I prioritize taking time to educate patients and their families about their health and wellness as well as any chronic conditions they are managing. While my goal as a primary care doctor is to help my patients stay well, I do also have special training in palliative care, which gives me expertise in supporting patients with serious illness and their families.
Interests
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our two sons. I enjoy being outdoors, reading, listening to podcasts, hiking, and traveling.
