da Vinci Surgery

Deaconess Brings the Best of Both Worlds to the Tri-State: Robotic and Human breakthrough platform for minimally invasive surgery.

"Since the da Vinci was initially introduced, many Evansville area residents have traveled to other regional facilities to get the benefits of this minimally invasive robotic surgical treatment option. Now they can get this state-of-the art care right here."  ~Leo Bonaventura MD, Reproductive Endocrinologist

Da Vinci Surgery Deaconess is proud to be the first in this region to offer the most technologically advanced surgical system transforming robots into miraculous microsurgical tools. The system, known as the da Vinci Surgical System, enhances patient care by providing surgeons superior visualization, greater surgical precision and optimal performance of minimally invasive surgery (MIS).

Gynecologic Surgery

The da Vinci System's intuitive interface allows for more gynecologic surgeons to use a minimally invasive approach in complex procedures for surgeries including sacrocolpopexy, hysterectomy, myomectomy.

Urologic Surgery

The da Vinci System's intuitive interface provides breakthrough capabilities that allow many surgeons to use a minimally invasive approach, even when performing complex procedures. Robotic-assisted visualization, dexterity, precision and control can enable a surgeon to perform a wide array of urologic procedures through small incisions, from nephrectomies to radical prostatectomies, while achieving better clinical outcomes. Surgeries improved by this technology include prostatectomy, nephrectomy, pyeloplasty and partial nephrectomy.

Da Vinci Surgical System procedures will be performed at both The Women's Hospital and Deaconess Gateway Hospital.  Click for directions.
