Specialty Programs

The Deaconess Heart Group has created multiple specialty clinics to address specific cardiovascular care issues. These specialty clinics  help patients manage their conditions or prevent them from developing specific conditions. These specialty clinics are directed by The Heart Group physicians and implemented by specially trained clinicians and nurses.

A-Fib
Atrial fibrillation (A-Fib or AF) is a type of irregular heartbeat. It occurs when one or both of the upper chambers of the heart—called the atria—beat erratically. More than 2.3 million people in the united States have A-Fib.

ICD/Pacemaker Clinic
Medical devices that are implanted inside the bodies of heart patients.   

Structural Heart
Refers to the treatment of the heart's valves, wall or chambers.
