Adult Inpatient Psychiatrist
Deaconess Cross Pointe seeks a board-certified/board-eligible psychiatrist to join our experienced team of four psychiatrists and advanced practice nurses. This full-time, employed position will be responsible for adult inpatient services (e.g., evaluations, daily rounding), working with Business Development on community presentations and referral building, and some shared on-call responsibilities. Family Medicine
Deaconess Clinic, which consists of over 100 primary and specialty care physicians in 23 convenient locations, is seeking one BC/BE Family Medicine physician to join their growing team! The ideal candidate will join the Deaconess Clinic-Gateway location. Join an existing group of family practitioners at this location, which is attached to Deaconess Gateway Hospital. The ideal candidate will join the Deaconess Clinic-Gateway location, joining two other Clinic Internists. This is a traditional outpatient practice with some inpatient work. Palliative Care Medical Director
Deaconess is seeking a Medical Director who will be responsible for the medical direction of the Palliative Care Services for Deaconess Health System, directly prescribing care when appropriate and in collaboration with the patients' attending physicians. The Medical Director will also be involved with staff education, quality improvement, reviewing P&P's, program evaluation and patient care planning as needed. Fellowship-trained or certification in Palliative Care preferred, but not required. Will consider BC/BE Family Medicine or Internal Medicine trained physicians with interest or experience in Palliative Care, plus two years of experience. No call required. Neurologist

The ideal candidate will work M-F (4.5 days/week). Call is 1:7 with plan to go 1:8. Patient load: 15-20 outpatients per day (80% outpatient). Shared EMR system between clinics and hospitals. Hospitalist Fellows
Deaconess Hospital offers a one-year fellowship in hospitalist medicine. Ideal candidates are family physicians who wish to further their knowledge of inpatient medicine and procedural skills needed to care for acutely ill inpatients, and internists who have been away from inpatient medicine and wish to refresh their knowledge and skills. Deaconess incorporates didactic lectures with supervised patient care consistent with the guidelines recommended by the Society of Hospital Medicine. As a tertiary regional referral center serving nearly 900,000 people in three states, Deaconess offers a diverse exposure to pathology and severity of illness. Primary teaching and supervision is provided by the Deaconess Care Group, Deaconess’ 22 physician hospitalist group which covers our two state-of-the-art acute care hospitals and specialty heart hospital 24/7/365. Our open ICU model offers ample experience in critical care and the hospitalist service offers a nice balance of primary admitting and consultative roles. Administratively, the fellowship is associated with our family medicine residency which supports 18 residents in our three-year training program. Resident and medical student supervision and teaching is incorporated into fellowship responsibilities to maximize the learning environment of our teaching hospital. One-on-one rotations with highly skilled and engaged specialists like pulmonary/critical care, nephrology, cardiology, infectious disease and others is a major strength of our fellowship program. Employment opportunities exist with our hospitalist group for successful candidates and compensation is competitive with other PGY 4 fellowships.
Acute Care Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant (80, F-T) (10-hr. shifts, D/E) – Main and Gateway
Extends the services of the Deaconess Care Group Hospitalists by providing comprehensive health assessments, determining diagnosis, plans and prescribing treatments and managing health care regimens in collaboration with the designated physician(s). Provides care to acutely ill patients in the hospitalized setting. This role includes the promotion of wellness, prevention of complications and management of acute and chronic conditions. Works autonomously as well as in collaboration with a variety of individuals to diagnose and manage health care problems. Serves as a health care resource, interdisciplinary consultant, and patient advocate. The Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant will practice in various sites within Deaconess Health System including Deaconess Hospital and Deaconess Gateway Hospital.
Master’s degree with advanced training or education as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
Acute Care Nurse Practitioner/Nurse Practitioner (80 hrs./pay, F-T) – Ortho
Deaconess Hospital is currently seeking a full-time ACNP or NP to join their staff in the Orthopedic Department. This position will provide services at Deaconess Gateway Hospital, Deaconess Hospital and on occasion associated facilities of the Joint Replacement Program (JRP). Shifts for this position will be predominantly days, with weekend rotation of every other weekend or every third weekend. The ACNP/NP will assist in co-morbidity oversight/management across continuum of care for the JRP patients. This would include: pre-op H&P’s, addressing health issues, addressing needs during hospitalization and following in Rehab if needed. May also be involved in speaker presentations for patient education or recruitment into JRP program. Master’s degree with advanced training or education as an ACNP or NP, along with a valid license in the state of Indiana. 1-3 years of experience in a ACNP/NP role is preferred.
Assistant Medical Director/Women's Health Coordinator
The Deaconess Family Medicine Residency Program (total of 18 Residents) is seeking a BC/BE physician (w/ OB) to join their existing four faculty members. Potential candidates should possess strong teaching skills and will see patients three half-days/week in a nearby office, in addition to teaching in the residency. Maternity care teaching is a priority. No competing residencies in the area. Responsible for curriculum development and recruiting. Three years of clinical practice experience is preferred. Emergency Medicine
Deaconess Hospital is seeking BC/BE Emergency Medicine-trained physicians in 2014 to provide coverage at both Deaconess Hospital and Deaconess Gateway Hospital. These positions involve approximately 15 shifts/month, working eight- and nine-hour shifts. 38,000 annual visits at DGH and 55,000 annual visits at DH, a Level II trauma center. CRNAs
Deaconess Hospital is currently seeking (1) full-time and (2) DSS (supplemental/PRN work) CRNAs to join their team. Candidates must be board-certified or board-eligible. The CRNA will provide coverage under the direction of a physician to patients in the Endoscopy labs at Deaconess Hospital (main campus) and Deaconess Gateway Hospital. 1-3 years of experience is preferred. Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Family Nurse Practitioner - Palliative Care
F-T, 80 hours/pay: Days, Monday-Friday
Deaconess Hospital is currently seeking a full-time ACNP or FNP to join their staff in the Palliative Care Department. This full-time position will provide Palliative Care services at Deaconess Hospital, Deaconess Gateway Hospital, and The Heart Hospital. The Palliative Care team consists of a part-time physician, a full-time nurse and a part-time nurse (both certified in Hospice and Palliative Care), a full-time social worker, and chaplains and pharmacists from various units. Hours are Monday-Friday (8am-5pm), no holidays or weekends and no on-call responsibilities. Master’s degree with advanced training or education as an ACNP or FNP, along with a valid license in the state of Indiana. Candidates with prior experience are preferred. Endocrinologist
Deaconess Clinic, which consists of over 100 primary and specialty care physicians in 23 convenient locations, is seeking a BC/BE Endocrinologist. The ideal candidate will join the Deaconess Clinic-Downtown location, joining four other Clinic physicians. This is a 100% Endocrinology practice with some inpatient work (consults), as well as outpatient follow-ups & consults. M-F and 1:5 call (with minimal night call). Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) - Deaconess Family Medicine Residency
F-T, 80 hours/pay
The Deaconess Family Medicine Residency is seeking a full-time Certified Nurse Midwife to join their faculty staff of five and program of 18 Residents. 3-5 years of experience is preferred.
Patient Care: Care for own panel of OB/GYN patients (outpatient visits/procedures and inpatient deliveries), and supervise Residents (both inpatient and outpatient: deliveries, rounding, procedures, prenatal care, etc.). Faculty: Organize PGY1 maternity care orientation; evaluate PGY1 women's health exam competency; ALSO course director; prenatal clinic oversight; OB journal club & monthly noon conference presentations; Family Medicine/OB call; development/oversight of prenatal group visits. Physician Assistant - The Women's Cancer Center
The physician assistant would join The Women’s Cancer Center, a gynecologic oncology practice to provide surgical assistance as well as pre-operative preparation and post operative care. The Deaconess Clinic Gastroenterology Department is currently seeking a full-time ACNP or FNP to join their staff. This is a weekend option position, working five out of six weekends, to include 12-hour shifts. This position will provide health care services under the direction of a Physician to patients in the inpatient setting at Deaconess Hospital and Deaconess Gateway Hospital. These services include health promotion and disease prevention, as well as the diagnosis and management of acute and chronic diseases. The ACNP/NP will perform physical assessments, develop care plans, educate and offer support to physician for hospitalized patients and family members. Candidates must be licensed in the state of Indiana and certified by the ANCC (American Nurses Credentialing Center).
