MaryBeth Lodato, CNM

MaryBeth Lodato, MS, CNM graduated with a BSN from the University of Evansville in 1976.  She worked 17 years in the NICU, briefly at Welborn Hospital and 15 years at St. Mary’s Medical Center.  During her time at St. Mary’s she obtained an MSN from IUPUI and certified as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner.  She was a Clinical Specialist and managed  the Neonatal Transport Team, developed the SHARE perinatal loss and grief counseling program, and developed a Perinatal Outreach and Education program.

She then moved to Labor and Delivery at St. Mary’s Medical Center as a staff nurse to expand her maternal child health background to include Obstetrics.  From there she developed a high risk OB/Newborn line of service for a Partner’s Home Health Agency where she remained for two years.

From 1993 to 2000 she worked at the Deaconess Family Medicine Residency  managing the Prenatal Care Clinic and seeing prenatal and gyne patients.  During her time at Deaconess she took a sabbatical for 6 months to complete her Nurse-Midwifery Certification and came back to continue her work with the residency as well as develop a small private midwife practice.  From 2000-2013 Ms. Lodato moved  to ECHO Community Health Care to develop a nurse-midwife practice where she managed pregnancy and routine care of women and newborns for 13 years doing 100-125 births per year at The Woman’s Hospital.
