Deaconess Women’s Hospital has always placed a strong emphasis on both employee and community wellness. They were the first local recipient of the Indiana Wellness Council’s four-star award, have been actively involved in the city’s Upgrade Campaign and have implemented numerous community wellness programs, including the unique Frameworks physical fitness program.
The hospital’s Wellness Council prides itself on finding creative ways to encourage healthy lifestyle choices. Earlier this year, The Women’s Hospital enlisted the talents of local artists to cover the main stairwell in art work, creating an environment that would encourage more individuals to opt for the stairs over the elevator.
