You are here: No Shave November
Growing Awareness for Men's Cancers
Deaconess is encouraging its employees and all tri-state men to put down their razors to raise awareness for prostate and testicular cancers as part of “No Shave November.”
Be a Part of No Shave
Simply stop shaving for the entire month of November! Whether it’s your beard, mustache or scalp….if you normally shave it off, then let it grow!
On Sunday, November 1st, submit a photo of yourself clean-shaven. You can send it several ways:
If you wish, you may also hold an "in honor of" or "in memory of" sign in your photo. Download a template.
Please submit your photos as the month (and hair) progresses. Send in your last photo by midnight the evening of Monday, November 30.
"Shave the Date"
On Tuesday, December 1st, prizes will be awarded for various categories of facial hair and lunch will be served. “Shave the date” and join us between 11am - 1pm (program at noon) in Johnson Hall at Deaconess Hospital main campus.
Stop by the information desks at Deaconess Hospital, Deaconess Gateway Hospital or Deaconess Clinic Downtown beginning October 26 to pick up your "I'm Growing Awareness" button to wear to help explain your changing appearance.

Help Grow Donations
The Deaconess Foundation Cancer Care Fund will be the designated recipient of any funds raised by this campaign. You may make a donation in honor or memory of a loved one. Please note that a donation is not required to participate.
Thank you for helping us grow awareness by growing your facial hair!
