Visitor Guidelines

Patients and Families Need to Know

Because of space limitations and State Board of Health restrictions, we must limit the number of family members who may be seated in the following waiting areas:

  • Surgery Lounge
  • Cardiac Catheterization Lab
  • Intensive Care Units

Only four people per family may be seated in these waiting areas at any one time. Other family members and friends will be directed to the Hospital's Main Lobby and should wait there.

Children under the age of 12 may not visit patients in the Intensive Care Units. Due to the stressful nature of situations that bring families to the Intensive Care waiting areas, we do not permit children under 12 to be in these areas. If they are brought to the area, they will be asked to return to the Main Lobby with an adult member of the family. It is important to make arrangements for childcare prior to coming to the Hospital.

In each of the above areas, a Visitor Assistant is on duty to answer your questions and provide information on other hospital services available to you.
