Our Pain Centers are located at:

    In front of the Westside Schnucks. This Center includes 11 treatment rooms, two procedure rooms, a 4 bed recovery area and a physical therapy department..

    The Center operates five days a week:
    Monday-Thursday 8 am -4 pm
    Fridays 8 am -2 pm

Clinic Services

The Deaconess Comprehensive Pain Center provides outpatient diagnosis, education and treatment services for patients with acute, chronic and cancer pain. We accept patients by referral only.

  • Comprehensive, interdisciplinary evaluation of pain problems
  • Consultation for medication tailoring, adjustment
  • Palliative cancer care
  • Spinal Cord Injuries
  • Regional anesthesia-diagnostic and therapeutic nerve blocks
  • Acute Pain Service for in-patient population
  • Comprehensive interdisciplinary treatment programs for pain including but not limited to, head and neck, low back and peripheral neuropathy
  • Complex regional pain syndrome.
  • Individualized behavioral and psychological treatment programs
  • Nursing intervention programs
  • Integrated referrals for Physical Therapy, Work Hardening, Social Services, Mental Health
  • Complimentary & Alternative Medicine

Evaluation Process

Our comprehensive evaluation process includes:

  • Complete medical history & physical examination
  • Diagnostic nerve blocks
  • Referral for specialized diagnostic evaluation such as tomography, MRI, thermography, nerve conduction studies and EMG studies
  • Psychophysiological evaluation
  • Psychological & behavioral evaluation, if indicated
  • Dietary evaluation

Treatment Program

Our specialists include professionals from anesthesia, Physical medicine and rehabilitation, physical therapy, psychology, social services, dietician, nursing and pharmacology. We treat each patient in an integrated, individually designed program. We offer:
