What Is WebPACS?
Centricity PACS (Picture Archival Communication System) and Enterprise Web (WebPACS) are Radiology products available for use by referring physicians to view their Deaconess Hospital Radiology images. These can be used within Deaconess Hospital, the physician's office, or the physician's home.
These products allow quicker access to the patients' radiology images and reports. Not only does PACS revolutionize the way all radiology images are managed, stored, communicated and reported, but they allow us to improve the quality and efficiency of patient care through more accurate diagnosis and treatment.
How Does It Work?
Computer workstations with a commercially available World Wide Web browser (Internet Explorer 5.5 or higher) enable users to log in and view radiology images and reports stored on the Deaconess GE PACS system. System features include high-speed image viewing, image manipulation tools, and an option for image comparison.
