Where is it located?
Deaconess Family Pharmacy now has two locations! Deaconess Clinic Downtown is located inside the main entrance at 421 Chestnut Street and the other Family Pharmacy is located on the first floor of Deaconess Hospital, just down from the Hahn elevators. Who can use the Deaconess Family Pharmacy?
The pharmacy serves the following:
Employees, physicians on medical staff, students on Deaconess rotations, and their dependent family members
Patients of Deaconess and Deaconess-owned facilities
Does it offer the same medications I currently use?
Deaconess Family Pharmacy stocks prescription medications, on-contract generics, and a selection of over-the-counter items.
My address or other personal information has changed. What do I need to do?
Deaconess Family Pharmacy uses a separate computer system to process prescriptions, and does not receive updates from Epic or Human Resources when an address is changed. Please contact a staff member to update your personal information.
How do the costs compare?
Our goals are to provide you with superior service and save you money. On average, employees save 25% on the out-of-pocket costs for prescriptions. Ask a member of our staff for more details.
If I don’t work at Deaconess Main Campus or I don’t live near the pharmacy location, is there a way I can use the Family Pharmacy?
Deaconess Family Pharmacy offers the option to pick up prescriptions and purchase over-the-counter medications at Deaconess Gateway and The Women’s Hospital pharmacies for your convenience. To purchase OTC medications at Gateway or The Women’s Hospital, please contact the Deaconess Family Pharmacy staff at 450-3784 to have the items shipped to your pickup location. Mail service is also available, with restrictions. Please contact the Deaconess Family Pharmacy staff for more information and to coordinate your delivery preference.
Why did Deaconess establish this pharmacy?
Deaconess launched the Family Pharmacy to provide a benefit for employees and others, to provide superior service to patients, and to reduce costs to the Health System and members of our Deaconess family.
My prescription was last filled at another pharmacy. How do I move my prescription to the Deaconess Family Pharmacy?
We offer easy prescription transfers. Simply contact a member of the helpful Family Pharmacy staff with your information, and we’ll do the rest.
