Daniel Johnson, MD
Dr. Daniel Johnson completed his medical education at the University of Kansas. Following his internship in internal medicine, he established his specialty in neuroscience medicine while completing his fellowship in neurology at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston.
Dr. Johnson practices with Deaconess Care Group, specializing in hospital-based medicine and neurology.

Jose Arias, MD
Dr. Jose Arias completed his medical education at the Universidad Nacional Pedro Urena in the Dominican Republic. Following his internship in general surgery, he established his specialty in neurosurgical medicine while completing his residency in neurosurgery at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, Florida.
Dr. Arias practices with Neurosurgical Consultants in Evansville, Indiana.

Our stroke team is a prime example of how our skilled professionals come together to ensure that Deaconess Hospital provides timely and effective treatment to all patients who need stroke care, regardless of where they are in the hospital.
According to the American Stroke Association, stroke patients are best cared for in hospitals with a dedicated stroke team. In fact, acute stroke patients are twice as likely to receive effective and timely medication in facilities with a dedicated stroke team than in hospitals without a team in place.
