Deaconess Cardiology Operations Committee
Physician-Hospital Collaboration Improves Patient Care
Physician involvement has been taken to a new level at Deaconess Hospital. Through the Cardiology Operations Committee, physicians play a vital role in the planning and operations management of cardiovascular services.
The committee is composed of hospital administrators, cardiologists and cardiovascular surgeons with a common goal: quality patient outcomes and efficient operations management. During monthly meetings, they address all issues of cardiovascular program management, including staffing enhancements, capital equipment purchases to provide new technology, and program development.
Administrators and physicians bring different, but complementary, knowledge and ideas to this forum. The physician-hospital integration allows extraordinary foresight to be part of our strategic plan for cardiovascular services. Working together, we offer our community the best in cardiovascular care.
