Cardiovascular Medical ICU
The Cardiovascular Medical Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) is a 16-bed unit dedicated to intensive monitoring and treatment of non-surgical cardiac patients. Common diagnoses in this unit include myocardial infarction (heart attack) and congestive heart failure. All patient rooms are self-contained and fully equipped to accommodate high-level medical needs.
Like the Cardiovascular Surgical Intensive Care Unit, CVICU provides an exceptionally high level of care due to the expertise of our nursing staff. To guarantee superior care for our acutely ill patients, we enforce a low ratio of patients to nursing staff members.
