The Deaconess Riley Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) provides critical care services to families throughout the Tri-State. We specialize in medical care for pediatric patients and support for their loved ones.

Our Medical Team

Highly qualified pediatric intensivists staff our PICU. Supporting the intensivists is a multidisciplinary medical team that includes specialty nurses, respiratory therapists, dietitians and other professionals. Additionally, sub-specialty physicians routinely work with our patients to meet their individual needs.

Advanced Care

Our medical team utilizes the most advanced technology, including extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) and advanced ventilation techniques. Combining the benefits of specialty training, years of experience, and the best technology, we treat respiratory failure, sepsis (serious infection), congenital heart disease, and trauma, including automobile accidents, near drowning, hypothermia, and other critical medical conditions.
