NICU Follow-Up Care
Deaconess Hospital is proud to host Ann Hilmo, M.D., a physician from Riley Hospital for Children, in our Pediatric Developmental Clinic. Dr. Hilmo cares for babies who are discharged from the NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit) at The Women's Hospital.
Many of the infants needing care were born prematurely. Some require medical intervention after discharge. Examples of medical interventions that we frequently monitor include:
- Oxygen
- Apnea Monitors
- Medications
A physician referral is required for all appointments. If you believe your child would benefit from consultation with our specialty physician, please discuss this with your child's primary care physician. Occasionally, Dr. Hilmo will offer consultation regarding infants who were not delivered at The Women's Hospital.
