Early Evaluation for Autism

Early Evaluation Clinic - For children ages 2-3

Referrals for developmental care are changing across the state of Indiana. Our goal is to help sort out the needs of your child and get you linked up with needed services in your community. During a consultation, your child will have his/her height and weight taken. Staff will assist you in filling out a form that checks your child's development. A history and physical will be done.

The STAT (Screen Tool for Autism spectrum disorders in Toddlers) will be performed. This is an interactive tool involving a set of toys and includes a snack. (*Please inform the nurse of any food allergies.)

Following the test, the pediatrician will then develop a clinic summary of your child's visit with any diagnosis, medications, referrals, resources and future appointments which will be shared with you before you leave. A summary of your clinic visit will also be sent to your primary care provided.

Developmental Care - For children older than 3

Our Developmental Care is designed to to help your child stay on target as they grow physically, emotionally, and behaviorally. Children may be referred for concerns such as:

  • Autism Spectrum Disorder

  • Hypotonia
  • Attention Deficit Disorder
For children older than 3 years of age, we are teaming up with Dr. Stacy Blankenbuehler to provide a history, physical, and testing to assist in a plan of treatment for your child.
