Modern Healthcare Magazine announced its 2017 Best Places To Work
and The Women’s Hospital made the list. Organizations named as part of the recognition program have demonstrated a work environment where employees are empowered to perform at their optimum level and provide patients and customers with the best possible care, products, and services.
This is the eighth year for Deaconess Women’s Hospital to be included.
Human Resources Director Susie Traylor commented, “We hear feedback from our employees that they appreciate the open lines of communication between employees and physicians, managers and administrators. This results in an environment of compassion, teamwork, autonomy and value. This culture has also contributed to our high employee retention rates and a consistently high employee engagement rate of 97 percent.”
“Our team has created an environment where teamwork and dedication are displayed on a daily basis. Our employees often comment that we are a family of colleagues and co-workers. By default, our patients then become an extension of that family. This leads employees to continuously fulfill our hospital’s promise to provide world-class care from our family to yours, one exceptional experience at a time,” said Christina M. Ryan, CEO. “Our employees continue to maintain a culture that allows us to receive this award year after year and I couldn’t be more proud of them.”
