Current Positions

Hospital Based Critical Care/Sleep, F-T, 64-80 hours/pay
Deaconess Hospital is currently seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join the Deaconess Critical Care Group. The NP/PA will rotate between Gateway and Main campuses, and Main Sleep Center. Shift length varies based on assignment, coverage needs and patient volume, generally 8-10 hours (No Nights). Rotating holiday and weekend coverage. Outpatient Shifts: 8:00 am – 4:30 pm, Monday-Friday (Sleep Office). Experienced ACNP or PA-C preferred. New grads with minimum two years nursing experience considered (ICU experience preferred). This employed position offers excellent compensation and a comprehensive benefits package. Fully integrated EMR system (Epic) between clinics and hospitals. Candidates must be licensed in the State of Indiana and certified by the ANCC or Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies.
F-T, 72 hours/pay (Monday-Friday; 8:00 am – 4:30 pm)
Clinical Lead – Pulmonary Outpatient

Deaconess Hospital is currently seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join the Deaconess Critical Care Group.  The NP/PA will work in the outpatient pulmonary office and will have clinical oversight of nursing and support staff.  No weekends, holidays or hospital rotations required (some opportunities available for limited hospital shifts).  Previous leadership experience is preferred and a minimum of two years midlevel experience is required.  DEA and CSR are required with full prescriptive authority.  This employed position offers excellent compensation and a comprehensive benefits package.  Fully integrated EMR system (Epic) between clinics and hospitals.

Deaconess Cross Pointe is currently seeking a BC/BE Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our experienced team of five psychiatrists and several advanced practice nurses.  This full-time, employed position will provide inpatient and outpatient coverage for children and adolescents.  Responsibilities include the following:  evaluations, consultations, daily rounding, working with Business Development on community presentations and referral building.  There will be some shared on-call responsibilities.  As an employee of Deaconess Cross Pointe, you will experience a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package.
Deaconess Hospital is currently seeking a BC/BE, emergency medicine-trained physician to provide coverage at both Deaconess Hospital (main campus) and Deaconess Gateway Hospital. This position involves approximately 15 shifts/month, working eight- and nine-hour shifts. 39,000 annual visits at Deaconess Gateway Hospital and 55,000 annual visits at Deaconess Hospital, a Level II trauma center. Deaconess Hospital seeks a full-time Assistant Medical Director for our Family Medicine Residency, to join five faculty members. We are looking for a Family Medicine physician who has strong teaching/leadership skills to work with our Residents. Two years of recent clinical practice experience preferred.  Candidates must be board certified in Family Medicine. This position requires staffing the Residents at the Residency and Family Medicine Center, assuring appropriate and safe patient care along with other duties plus working three (3) half-days in a private practice setting (separate location); approx. 70% teaching, 30% private practice (negotiable).  Shared EMR system between clinics and hospitals. Deaconess Clinic is currently seeking a part-time Family or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner to join its new and exciting Post-Acute Care Transitions program.  The Part-Time NP will float and provide coverage at all Nursing Homes.  The mid-level provider will provide acute care to these patients and work collaboratively with skilled nursing personnel and Deaconess Health System personnel to create and improve post-acute care transitions across the continuum of care.  Enjoy a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefit package.  Providers will utilize a fully integrated EMR system (EPIC).

The Deaconess Hospital Emergency Department is currently seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide services under the direction of a physician to patients in the emergency department at Deaconess Hospital. The position works 7:00 pm to 7:00 am, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday (working 5 out of 6 weekends).  Previous ED experience is preferred, but not required. This employed position provides competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package. Candidates should be licensed in the State of Indiana and certified by the ANCC/AANP or Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies. BLS, ACLS, PALS and NIHSS required within 12 months of hire.

The practice includes outpatient and nursing homes. Deaconess Clinic seeks an energetic, highly motivated, BC/BE Nephrologist to join our busy multi-specialty group practice.  Shared EMR system between clinics and hospitals.  Physician will see approximately 20-25 patients/day.  Call coverage:  1:3.  The physician rounds on patients at Deaconess Hospital and Deaconess Gateway Hospital with travel to area dialysis centers.  Deaconess Hospitalists admit their patients.  This is a full-time position at Deaconess Clinic-Downtown or Deaconess Clinic-Gateway with some flexibility in scheduling to accommodate the patient need and physician interests.  As a full-time employee of Deaconess Clinic, you will enjoy a competitive salary with a productivity incentive and a comprehensive benefits package.
Deaconess Hospital is currently seeking a Neurohospitalist to join its team. This full-time, inpatient adult practice will work approximately 216 coverage days annually. Candidates must be BE/BC in Neurology. No attending responsibilities – consulting service only (thrombolytic therapy assessment/recommendation, lumbar puncture, EEG, brain death exam). Approximate Call Coverage (shared with 5 other physicians): 1 night/week; 1:6 weekends. Night call taken from home. Call covers three (3) hospitals all within an 8-mile radius. Requirements/Prerequisites:

Deaconess Hospital is currently seeking a Fellowship-trained endovascular Neurointerventionalist. Candidates must be BE/BC in General Neurology and have Vascular Neurology experience.  Practice will include a combination of inpatient consults, acute and elective neurovascular interventions and outpatient clinic for neurovascular consults and stroke follow-up.  The physician will work with general neurology hospitalist to provide care for inpatients with strokes.  Call will be shared with existing interventional neurosurgeon.  As an employee of Deaconess Hospital, you will enjoy a competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits package.

Deaconess is seeking a Medical Director who will be responsible for the medical direction of the Palliative Care Services for Deaconess Health System, directly prescribing care when appropriate and in collaboration with the patients' attending physicians. The Medical Director will also be involved with staff education, quality improvement, reviewing P&P's, program evaluation and patient care planning as needed. Fellowship-trained or certification in Palliative Care preferred, but not required.
